Okay, so here we are with the step-by-step instructions to tell you how exactly you can apply for this scholarship. Ready? Here we go then.
- First of all, you have to visit the official website of the portal, and this is the one: svmcm.wb.gov.in
- On the homepage itself, you’ll see a “Register” button on the top right corner of the screen, so just give it a click right away. After clicking, if a pop up shows up on the screen, just choose “Topper” and select “New Registration” from the drop-down menu. That’s all!
- Now, a decently long form will load right in front of you. Just fill in the asked details like your personal details, academic details, contact information, bank details, and things like that.
- In this form, you’ll also have to provide some documents like your photo, last exam mark sheet, Admission receipt, HOI forwarding letter, etc.
- Just upload all the required documents and submit your application. And that is pretty much it.

Already Got the Scholarship? Here’s How to Renew It!
Yes, we know that many of you came here just to know how to actually renew your scholarship application, right? So, let’s just get to that right away. Here:
Before you do that, you must make sure that you pass all semester exams on your first attempt
Like, Score at least:
- 60% in UG & Diploma
- 50% in PG
And it is actually super important for you to apply for renewal within one month of admission to the next class, or else it’ll all be just for nothing.
Here’s how you can actually get down and apply for the Renewal of your scholarship application:
- First of all, just go to your dashboard on the Swami Vivekananda SVMCM Scholarship portal. We assume you already know the address, if not, try this one: svmcm.wb.gov.in.
- Once again, you’d have to click on the “Registration” button on the top right corner of the screen, then choose “Topper” and select “Renewal Application” from the drop-down menu and then proceed next.
